Peter Dibia, a seasoned communication professional and consultant editor, recently offered valuable advice to the people of Imo State on the importance of not inheriting someone else's enemies just because of loyalty to a boss or influential figure.
Dibia emphasized that while loyalty in the workplace or any organization is important, blindly adopting conflicts or animosities tied to someone else can be a harmful and unnecessary burden.
Dibia went further, stressing the need to abandon the destructive "pull him down" syndrome and the use of unnecessary propaganda.
He noted that it's all too common for people to turn to blackmail and cheap media wars just because the system or leader they once supported no longer favours them. "Imo State is our state," Dibia reminded, "and we must not spoil it with our own hands." He urged residents to remember the impact of their words and actions on the reputation and development of their own community.
Speaking directly to politicians, Dibia encouraged them to use their time in office to genuinely impact the lives of those they serve. "The position you occupy today will not last forever," he reminded them. "Use it wisely to benefit your people, and remember that one day, you will give an account of your stewardship to both man and God."
