NGO Empowers over 50 youths with entrepreneur skills in Imo. Present start up kits to 3 winner of on Stage live photo contest.


 




A prominent non-governmental organization, Steady Your Shot, headquartered in Owerri, Imo State, under the leadership of Mr. Bugus Chukwuezi as the Convener, organized an entrepreneurship empowerment conference on September 7, 2024. 



It was gathered that, this event equipped over 50 youths from across Imo State and beyond with essential business skills.



The conference brought together various successful business leaders who have transformed their lives from humble beginnings to remarkable achievements. They shared personal experiences that highlighted their growth in both skills and business acumen.


During a discussion with a group of journalists on 14th October, 2024, at their office's photo box studio, located along Orji Owerri Road beside First Bank PLC, Mr. Bugus articulated the vision and mission of Steady Your Shot for 2024. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to raising and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs dedicated to creating value for the betterment of humanity.



He explained that the phrase Aka Oru symbolizes a path toward economic revival and revolution in the nation. This encapsulates the core purpose of Steady Your Shot: to inspire youths to acquire skills that will enhance both society and their personal development.


Bugus concluded by asserting that the organization aims not only to equip youths with skills but also to support their personal development, particularly in managing emotional intelligence.


In response to inquiries about how the winners of the competition were chosen, the coordinator of the Live Photo Contest, Nelly Obiomah, clarified that registration was conducted online, allowing youths to register for free. The selection process was carried out by a panel of judges present at the event.


The winners of the contest  on-stage live photo shoot included Mr. Kabouh Victor as the overall winner, Mr. Ebenje Precious Chiemerie as the first runner-up, and Mr. Barnabas Oluchukwu as the second runner-up.


Also present at the press conference were the project coordinator, Mr. Martins Chimdia Obioha, and Dikachi Paulinene, the project manager, parents, well wishers of the winners who witnessed the presentation of the gifts to the winners.


A highlight of the press conference was the presentation of startup kits to the winners. These kits included cameras, photo shot lights, and portraits showcasing their work from that day.
