Breaking News: ASUU-IMSU Suspends Indefinite Strike for Two Months

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Imo State University (ASUU-IMSU), has decided to suspend its indefinite strike for a period of two months.

This suspension is intended to provide time for the university management and government to finalize negotiations concerning the union's demands, which include addressing salary disparities and resolving delayed promotions.

A source close to the university management clarified that this suspension should not be interpreted as a complete "call off," but rather as a strategic initiative aimed at fostering dialogue.

An official announcement detailing this decision is anticipated shortly, which will offer further insight into the union's stance and prospective actions regarding their ongoing grievances.
