The people of Elelem Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State has formally presented their newly elected traditional ruler, Eze Godson Uzoma Eboh Eleagu lll, to the Sole administration of Ngor- Okpala Community Hon. Kizito Onuoha and his team at the council headquarters, Umuneke.
The community delegation led by Presidents-General, PG Engr. Nnamdu Hector Anyanwu and other prominent sons and daughters, women, youths and cultural dance troupes made presentation Thursday following the emergence of Eze Godson Uzoma Eboh as the winner of the recently held Ezeship Election in the community.
Receiving the delegation, the Sole administration of Ngor- Okpala Community Hon. Kizito Onuoha commended Engr. Nnamdi Hector Anyanwu , PGs of Elelem and other stakeholders for successfully conducting a peaceful election on the 27th, April 2024 and assured them that he will forward their presentation to the state government for necessary action.
Hon. Kizito Onuoha urged the incoming monarch to ensure continued peace and development in his Community stressing that his administration would partner with all stakeholders to ensure that Ngor Okpala communities enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The soft spoken SOLAD said " I promise to take your files to his Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodimma for the staff of office, it is on record that there was free and fair election and the election reflects the will of the people of elelem autonomous community. "
The SOLAD further advised the incoming monarch and other members of the delegation to serve the people with the fear of God and also to assist Imo State Government in actualizing the aims and objectives .
On Security, he said Governor Hope Uzodimma would not tolerate criminals hideout in the community, saying any Eze ruling against the will of the government will be dethroned.
In his response shortly after the presentation exercise, Eze-elect, Godson Uzoma Eboh expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Elelem for electing him their new monarch in rancour-free atmosphere and assured them that he will put his best to uplift the royal stool.
Also speaking,the PG of the Elelem autonomous community Engr. Nnamdi Hector Anyanwu reeled out the sterling leadership qualities of the Eze- elect Godson Eboh describing him as a renowned philanthropist who has impacted many lives in Elelem Community and beyond.He said as an interim management committee member the Eze- elect has helped a lot of people by paying their school fees noting that his magnanimity transversed with in the length and breadth of Elelem.
