3R administration set To Deliver 3,240 Housing Units In First Phase.
In fulfillment of his campaign promises to provide affordable shelter to the people of the state, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has began the development of an affordable housing scheme for the people of the state.
The housing scheme in its first phase located at Orlu Road in the state capital will provide an affordable housing scheme for Imo people.
The state government is executing the housing project under the management of Ministry of Housing and Urban development.
Speaking to the press while at the site for the commencement of the project, Hon. Mbakwe Obi the Managing Director of Imo Housing Corporations stated that the intent of the scheme is "Delivering on the housing mandate of the 3R administration and delivering of affordable shelter to IMO citizens'' so as to reduce the housing deficit of IMO state.
The first phase of the project is going to begin from the sites in Orlu Road 'Hope Housing Estate', then at 'Shared Prosperity Housing Estate' at Okpala, 'Diaspora Housing Estate' at Okigwe Road, 'Love Garden Housing Estate' Onitsha Road, New Owerri and '3R Housing Estate' at Avu/Umuoma.
Indeed Hope Uzodinma came prepared.
