In the spirit of Christmas and New Year Celebrations, his usual generous nature and in line with his #SharedProsperity mantra, the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Dist Senator Hope Uzodinma has graciously approved free fuel for all Imo City Transport bus drivers and all commercial motorcyclists in the State.
In a statement released by the Commissioner for Transport Hon. Rex Añunobi, the Governor directed the affected people to proceed to Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square (Former Heroes Square) on Wednesday the 28th day of December, 2022 (today) by 7:00 am to collect their tickets and proceed for the fuel collection. This the Governor's widow's mite aimed at cushioning the effects of high cost of petrol.
Similarly, the Governor also approved free buses for Imolites from Lagos to Owerri and from Owerri back to Lagos to cushion the effects of high transportation costs and enable Imolites come home and enjoy the yuletide with families and friends under the serene new Imo environment.
Recall that few days ago, the Governor also announced the suspension of all revenue task force in the State with effect from 24th December till further notice. This is to allow commuters free flow of traffic and ensure that Imolites enjoy a hitch-free memorable celebration.
It is indeed a shared Prosperity government in action.
