The Umuhu Community in Ngor/Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State will on December 19, 2021 erupt in orgy of convivality as journalist, Hon. Henry Ekpe is garlanded with a chieftaincy title.
Ekpe, the former Chief Press Secretary to the former governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim and Co-Publisher of Trumpeta Newspaper will be robed as Nwachinemere 1 of Umuhu Community by the traditional ruler of the community, Eze Basil Anyanwu on the fateful day.
The Uhu 11 of Umuhu Autonomous Community said he has found Ekpe, the outgoing National Deputy Financial Secretary of the People's Democratic Party worthy for induction in the Eze-In-Council as a recognized chief and community leader.
Ekpe, who hails from the community expressed his profound gratitude to the monarch for choosing to confer the title on him and his kismen for supporting the conferment.
He invited friends, associates and well-wishers to the title-taking ceremony.
In a statement, Ekpe said; "With due respect and humility, we kindly plead for your presence on Dec19,2021 in my residence at Umuechem Umuhu Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State, as HRH,Eze Basil Anyanwu(Uhu 11 of Umuhu Autonomous Community,Honours me with induction into Eze-In-Council as a recognized chief and community leader.
