Olewuike Applauds Uzodinma For Flagging Off Roads Contracts Across Imo

The Special Adviser to the  governor on Projects Monitoring (Owerri Zone), has showered encomiums on the governor for flagging off roads contracts across the state. 

Hon Olewuike spoke to newsmen shortly after the flag-of of  construction of Roundabouts in Owerri metropolis, He assured Imolites that the companies that were given those contracts will deliver a sound job and in the anticipated time.  

He gave assurance that  his Bureau will put a thorough check on those contracts to ensure that contract terms and specifications are strictly adhered to.

According to him, "days of China roads are over, the current administration led  by our performing governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is all out to give Imo people purposeful and people oriented leadership, we will not tolerate any shady work from any contractor working in the State".

He pleaded with Imo people to give the government the  needed support to succeed.
He blamed poor state of roads across the State to failure in governance by past administrations. 
In his words, "if previous administrations were sincere to Imo people, nobody will be talking about bad roads now, that is to tell you that the past administrations did not do much in roads constructions. The little ones that were done, were poorly constructed".

He reaffirmed the readiness of his Bureau  towards ensuring effective monitoring of all government contracts,  as he has engaged the services of   civil engineers, construction experts, media men and other necessary stakeholders to ensure a  seamless monitoring  process across the zone.

He warned some overzealous contractors who may want to flout contract guidelines to desist from such act as his Bureau will not tolerate such not minding who is involved as he will not hesitate to report such erring contractor to the governor.

He also thanked the governor for his firm believe in his team and promised not to relent in his efforts towards actualizing the 3R mantra of the current administration.
